Mahlaqa Framed Maxi Dress

Named after Mah Laqa Chanda, the celebrated 18th-century poet, cultural patron and the first woman known to compile a complete diwan of Urdu ghazals, the Mahlaqa print reflects a woman who created her own place within spaces traditionally reserved for men.

Rendered in painterly layers of amber, burnt coral, deep rose and olive, the print feels like an old garden remembered through poetry, rich, romantic and full of movement.

Crafted from 100% handcrafted linen, the Mahlaqa Framed Maxi Dress is defined by white wave trim that outlines the square neckline, adjustable shoulder ties, side panels and hem, creating a graphic frame around the floral artwork. The fitted bodice falls into a relaxed A-line maxi skirt, allowing the print to remain the centre of the silhouette.

At the back, two flexible smocked panels are separated by a slim cutout, offering ease and shape without interrupting the clean line of the dress. Adjustable shoulder ties allow the neckline and bodice fit to be personalised.
