Named after Mah Laqa Chanda, the pioneering Urdu poet and cultural patron who claimed space within the literary and political world of eighteenth-century Hyderabad, the Mahlaqa print celebrates a woman whose presence was as powerful as her words.
The Mahlaqa Tiered Strapless Dress translates that sense of grandeur into a striking occasion silhouette. Cut in a substantial cotton-silk blend, it features a clean strapless neckline, a sculpted bodice and an elongated waist panel before opening into cascading tiers of painterly florals.
Generously gathered layers create movement and volume through the skirt, while the closely smocked back and concealed side zip offer a secure, flexible fit. Internal grip tape along the neckline helps the bodice remain comfortably in place.
